Key Take-Aways
Circula press release April 2021
23.04.2021, Berlin - Berlin-based software-as-a-service company Circula wins Solarisbank, Europe's leading banking-as-a-service platform, as a major customer for its corporate benefits product, which was only launched in February this year. With Circula Benefits, Solarisbank employees will receive digital meal vouchers within the Circula app, with which submitted meals will be subsidized with up to EUR 6.57 per meal and working day. At Solarisbank, more than 400 employees can now not only settle expenses digitally and be tax-compliant via Circula, but also have meals subsidized by the company.
"Although we developed Circula Benefits explicitly at the request of customers and with feedback from them, we would not have expected the product to be so well received after such a short time. We are pleased and proud that a flagship existing customer like Solarisbank is now drawing on the full breadth of our offering and providing another great service to employees with Benefits," says Nikolai Skatchkov, CEO and Co-Founder of Circula.
500-customer mark cracked and ecosystem expanded
The Circula Benefits product, which was officially launched in February this year, has further strengthened the company's growth: a total of about 500 companies now use the all-in-one app for employee expenses. More than 130 new customers have been added since the beginning of this year alone, including e.venture, Oliver Schrott Kommunikation and Paychex, for example.
At the same time, Circula is consistently expanding its ecosystem of API partners to integrate as many providers as possible from travel booking, HR and payroll, and ERP systems. Thus, at the beginning of April, the partnership with the digital platform for booking business travel, TravelPerk, which is used by international customers such as Farfetch, Adyen or Revolut, was further expanded and the interface was updated. Through this integration, Circula automatically imports all bookings via TravelPerk and prepares all receipts for reimbursement. Furthermore, companies such as DATEV, Comtravo or Personio are among Circula's integration and software partners.
"After a challenging 2020 for many companies and also for us, we are more than satisfied with the start of this year. We intend to maintain the current momentum by, among other things, expanding Circula Benefits into other directions such as mobility and expanding our product portfolio beyond that. With our current growth, I am confident that we will even get up to 1,000 corporate customers by the end of the year," says Skatchkov.
